Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Shanghai
Sinoaid Shanghai provides therapy service for hospitalized patients, as well as outpatient rehabilitation, including workers' compensation cases. Licensed therapists and fully trained support personnel provide services seven days a week in the hospital and Monday through Friday in the outpatient setting.
Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
The Inpatient Department provides Physical, Occupational and Speech & Swallowing Therapy services to hospitalized patients. The department is comprised of qualified and dedicated therapists who focus on maximizing patient's functional abilities and improving their quality of life.
The Physical Therapy staff evaluates and treats patients to improve:
- Range of motion
- Strength
- Balance
- Transfers
- Ambulation
- Wound healing
The Occupational Therapy staff evaluates and treats patients to improve:
- Ability to perform daily tasks of living
The Speech Therapy staff evaluates and treats patients to improve:
- Swallowing
- Speech
- Language
- Cognitive-communication
- Voice
The Inpatient Department works closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate discharge plans for patients. In addition to providing services to hospitalized adults on the medical, Intensive Care, Joint Replacement and Stroke Units, the department provides therapy services in the NICU and the on the Pediatric Unit of the hospital.
